Traveler Booking Terms

Booking, payment, cancellation and stay rules for travelers.

Current version: 2026-10-03

Draft for Peruvian legal review. Before launch, Ayniviva must add its registered legal name, RUC, registered address, privacy contact, and complaints-book details.

1. Your booking contract

When you confirm a booking, you contract with the named host family for the listed accommodation and included services. Ayniviva facilitates that contract and records the terms, price and cancellation policy you accepted.

A request is Pending until accepted by the family, unless the home offers Instant Book. Availability and price are only secured once the booking is created.

2. Price and payment

The final review shows the base stay price, 10% guest service fee, any valid discount, and total in USD. Payment is held securely and released according to Ayniviva's payout process after an eligible completed stay.

3. Cancellations and refunds

A Pending request may be cancelled for a full refund. Under the Flexible policy, cancellation at least 48 hours before check-in receives a full refund; later cancellation receives no contractual refund. Under the Moderate policy, cancellation at least 7 days before check-in receives a full refund; later cancellation receives 50%.

These contractual rules do not remove any non-waivable remedy under applicable consumer law, including remedies for misleading, aggressive or unlawful conduct. Refund timing may depend on the payment provider.

4. Traveler responsibilities

Provide accurate guest details, follow the family's reasonable house and safety rules, respect local communities and cultural heritage, disclose relevant accessibility needs, and pay only through Ayniviva. You are responsible for damage caused deliberately or negligently by you or your group.

5. Changes, problems and safety

Date changes require agreement through Ayniviva and may change the price. Report material listing differences or service problems promptly with supporting information so the team can assist. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
